About LabyrinthThe first 3D game mod for WOW. Explore a randomly created maze and find the teleporting beacon to reach the next level. Great for downtime while waiting in WOW. Has support for standard game mode (maze gets larger with each level) or custom mode (you set the size)
DirectionsOnce the game starts, you will start with a torch and you can press the arrow keys (Up, Down, Left, and Right) to travel around in the maze. While moving around, you will want to keep a look out for another torch. If you don't find a torch, the next level of the maze will be dark! To finish the current level, search for the teleporting beacon and touch it.
You can also press 'M' to bring up a small mini-map of the areas you have explored (or press the map button on the side of the window, whatever works best for you). While viewing the map, you won't be able to move, so remember that. (I tested the idea of letting the user move WHILE the minimap was open, and it was a very resource-intensive affair, so I don't plan to add it back into the game, sorry =)
Don't forget the torch! In normal and custom game modes, you will start with one torch. Every time you move to a new level, you will lose a torch. As long as you have one torch, you'll be able to see. Obviously, having a torch makes your life easier. Without it, you'll have to travel in a MUCH darker environment.
Input ModesImportant! There are two styles of input. Method 1 (default) is set so that while the game is running, all keyboard control will be dedicated to Labyrinth! To give keyboard control back to WOW, click the PAUSE button, minimize the game, or close the game. However, Method 2 is quite nice. You can use Key Bindings for this game, but you will need to enable the option in the Options menu. The Key Bindings can be found in the WOW's 'Key Bindings' Menu. While you're using the key bindings, you'll be free to move around in WOW, chat, fight, whatever. But playing Labyrinth WHILE doing a raid or Battleground? Well, whatever you want, champ. ^_^
InstallationPretty much like all other addons. Just copy the contents of the zip file into your Interface/Addons directory. Should be good to go!

Extra Features- Custom game. Run around in a maze that's 5x5 up to 30x30 in size (after the maze is made, it's more like 10x10 up to 60x60). Also decide the texture set to use and if it is day time or night time.

Project BackgroundThe sixth game in my collection of games, Labyrinth actually started as a tech demo for another game I'm working on (a 3D RPG in WOW ... playing an RPG in an RPG *sigh*). After the game engine was at a fairly stable and workable form, I decided to split the project and release Labyrinth on its own as an example of what is to come.
Future AdditionsThanks to everyone who tested this addon. As for extra ideas, there isn't much. So far, this is where we're at: - Four more texture sets (maybe one or two inspired / ripped from Wolf 3D)
- Dusk and Dawn settings for Time of Day
- A Compass =)
